Born in Anhui, China, and a longtime member of the Anhui wushu team, Xiaoxiao has won top honors at every competition that challenged her. She is a World Champion gold medalist (13th World Wushu Championships, 2015) and World Cup gold medalist (1st Taolu World Cup, 2016) in Qiangshu. In 2022 she was chosen to compete in The World Games in Birmingham, where she clinched the gold medal in Changquan and met IOC President Thomas Bach for lively conversation about wushu and some impromptu swordplay.
